Salad Dressings
When we stopped thinking a salad was iceberg lettuce topped with ranch, the hardest part was figuring out what dressing to put on these amazing greens we had discovered. I thought it would be helpful for any new to homemade dressing people out there with a post dedicated to the subject. Below are some of my favorite dressings used throughout the blog.
Oil & Vinegar Dressing
1/8 Cup Olive Oil
1/8 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Lime, juiced
Rosemary Mustard Dressing
2 TBS Dijon Mustard
1 TBS Apple cider vinegar
1 TBS olive oil
1 tsp diced rosemary
Whisk 2 TBS of Dijon mustard, 1 tsp diced rosemary, and 1 TBS apple cider vinegar until combined. Then add 1 TBS of olive oil and whisk again.
Tzatziki Dressing
1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 TBS Fresh Dill (or 1/4 tsp dried)
1 TBS fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 TBS grated cucumber
1 TBS olive oil
½ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp pepper
Mix all ingredients
Tahini Dressing
2 TBS Tahini
2 1/2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
1 TBS Olive Oil
1 1/2 TBS Water
1/2 TBS Orange Juice
1 tsp Honey
1/8 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Thyme
Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing
1/4 tsp grated lemon peel
2 TBS lemon juice
1 TBS olive oil
1 TBS Coconut milk
1/2 tsp honey
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
Honey Mustard Surprise Dressing
2 TBS Deli Mustard
1 TBS Creamy Peanut Butter
1/4 tsp ground Ginger powder
1/4 tsp course sea salt
1 tsp honey
3 TBS water
Mix all except water. Add water in 1 TBS at a time until the desired consistency is reached
